Formerly the Vale of Glamorgan Farmers’ Market, Cowbridge Farmers' Market is made up of a thriving group of producers holding weekly markets at Cowbridge. The markets have steadily grown since being established in July 2000 and offer shoppers a wide range of quality local produce. All products sold have been grown, reared, caught, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the Stall Holder. Ask them about their products they will be proud to tell you about them. There’s a unique kind of assurance that comes from looking a farmer in the eye at farmers’ market. Local farmers aren’t anonymous and they take their responsibility to the consumer seriously. |
The market is run by a volunteer committee made up of producers and is totally self supporting.
Why not come and visit one of our markets – every Saturday at Arthur John’s car park, Cowbridge 9.00am - 1.00pm Visit the Vale and Taste the Country! |
Priority is given to local and primary producers with membership closely monitored to ensure a wide range of products whilst avoiding over subscription of any one commodity. All producers adhere to our strict code of practice which protects the ethos of the market. Products available include fresh meat and poultry; bacon; fresh fish; eggs; organic vegetables; chocolate, bread and baked goods; preserves, chutneys and honey; vegetarian produce; cheese; beer; plants and herbs.
